Crumble Cake

Recipe level: Easy
Assembly time: 10 minutes maximum
Bake time : 1 hour

So I loveeee Desserts which is quite clear by all the fat i have gained...God I need to reduce!
get back to your point, don't loose direction!
Yes, so desserts/ Meetha is my weakness. I love making them and i love gobbling them down as well! so one easy peasy recipe that I am going to share here is called the Crumble Cake.
Its quick, all you have to do is assemble in an oven safe dish and bake. serve hot with icecream for best results. i usually put it in the oven while my guests are having dinner so that dessert is served after a bit of a break. serving it with doodh patti is another favourite :)

Unfortunately there is some issue with the card reader and i haven't been able to transfer pictures or i would have loved to share them with you. until then trust my word? :D

lets get started with the recipe:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 yellow cake mix box (any brand, i usually get pillsbury)
  2. 1 tin mixed berries ( i pick up the mixed berry pie filling)
  3. 1 tin/can Pineapple chunks
  4. 8 tbsp butter
  5. 1 cup brown sugar
  6. coconut flakes (optional)
  7. butter for tray or non stick spray

Method:

1. Take an oven safe dish. I use my pyrex dishes. spray it with oil, melted butter or nonstick product, whichever is available at home.

2. spread the berries as the first layer
3. add the pineapple chunks on top.
4. sprinkle coconut flakes as desired.
5. pour the yellow cake mix on top of these layers.
6. use your hands to sprinkle brown sugar on the yellow powder.
7. take 1 tbsp of butter (do not melt) and place it randomly on top. (The dish will not entirely be covered but the butter will melt in the oven so don't worry.)
8. spray oil ( i have olive oil) on top and the dish is ready for the oven.
9. bake the dish at 350 for one hour.
10. serve hot with vanilla icecream and chai :)

Tip: The cans and mixtures are usually a lot and i have a medium sized pyrex dish so i use the remainder of products to make layers in another oven safe dish and freeze it for use on some other day :)

Disclaimer: This is not my recipe, i am only sharing a recipe i saw online and it actually works.
